The second track on Vetiver’s ”A Thing of the Past” is a version of Derroll Adams’ badass banjo tune “Roll On Babe”. Stoned, as he usually was, he introduces and self-analyses while picking some banjo then finally plays the song. Vetiver definitely remade the song into a more laid back folk rock jam, as opposed to Derroll Adams’ skilled traditional banjo picking. This is off his 1967 album “Portland Town”.
